Griffin's Lair

welcome

Griffin's Lair Vineyard is located on a wind-swept hill in the Petaluma Gap, in the southernmost part of the Sonoma Coast AVA (American Viticultural Appellation). The ranch is just north of San Pablo Bay in the Lakeville area, 25 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge and 10 miles south of the historic town of Petaluma. The vineyard is owned and managed by Joan and Jim Griffin, whose focus is premium pinot noir and syrah.

Our objective is "to make wine in the vineyard": to produce highest quality fruit and to work with winemakers whose passion is handcrafted wines that are a clear expression of the grapes, the site, and the soils.

Griffin's Lair pinot noirs are produced by Belle Glos, Cravin Lattin Wines, Longfellow, and Roessler Cellars. The vineyard-designate syrahs are made by Arnot-Roberts Wines, Bedrock Wines, Culler Cellars, Pax Wine Cellars, and Wind Gap Wines.

A barrel of wine can work more miracles than a church full of saints.
